A painter’s apprentice (chapter 1-6)_(4)
|
. I messaged the mods about deleting the extras and they havent. It was a dumb and impulsive thing to do. I did it without thinking. My bad. But frankly after 12 months of TimeWarner its amazing that I havent yet named a volleyball and started talking to it. If it wasnt your cup of tea, please accept my sincerest apologies, get the fuck over yourself, and go read something else. It was an accident, and if I could fix it I would. is basically the internet equivalent of trying to start a fire by rubbing two sticks together. Picture that scene from castaway. It's slow and incredibly frustrating. |

Calm the fuck down. Im sorry that you didn't like it. I'm interested in art history and decided to try something different and see where it went. I guess it missed the mark. They cant all be fucking winners. I'm aware of the duplicate situation. If this site let you delete posts believe me, I would have. I guess I should explain myself. I have TimeWarner and in case you didn't know, it often makes you wonder if you'd have better luck opening a webpage, if you simply shut off your computer and threw rocks at it. Or attacked it with primitive flint-based tools. It's slow and frustrating. It's the internet equivalent of trying to start a fire by rubbing two sticks together. Picture that scene from castaway. So i was trying to submit a story, my internet kept crashing and was crawling at a snails pace, so I clicked submit a few extra times because I was fucking irritated. I assumed that nothing would happen but lo and behold, it published. Six times. Sorry about that. |

Dead man's pearl (chapters1-5)
|
This isn't finished and the plot is still developing. I intended it to be sort of a murder mystery/romance. The main characters were suspected of the murder, but did they do it? Why were they executed? What role will Chuck walter's character flaws play? Plus it's sort of historical fiction. Also it's an exploration of what it might be like to be gay or lesbian in an environment that is hostile to you, like this particular era of american history. It's about characters adapting to feelings of otherness. I guess I was also thinking of a sort of "brokeback mountain." that includes lesbians. But I realize that's setting the bar pretty high. Maybe I should have written a few more chapters to solidify it before publishing. I guess upon re-reading it I realize it is confusing, when I left it off here. I published what I had on impulse, even though I knew I should develop it more. |

Thanks, gina. Glad you liked the history aspects of it, because I was wondering (especially on this site,) if literally nobody cared but me. But still I did impulsively publish it right in the middle of Chuck's back story, and it does seem like a confusing place to leave off upon re-reading it from the perspective of someone who doesn't know what's going to happen. (something I should have done before hitting publish, I know. lol) I'll publish more soon, and it'll hopefully all tie together :) |
