The style of writing was OK but the decision to simply group words and sentences together made reading the story quite difficult for me. Also, I tend not to believe women enjoy trains. Trains are thought of as being associated with rape. I tend not to believe this in general but all the women -- all the women -- who were subjects of trains remembered them in a very negatively. Some of the women, including my first wife was subjected to just this from about 14 to 16. Marrying me broke the cycle for her but not the mental anguish. |

Having been the guy and having that girl I felt some truth in your story but disliked the conversation. We spoke of our majors (we were both Physics majors). The sex act, while exciting, was secondary to the reality we could have friends of the "other" sex (this was in the late 80s).. After that first time we enjoyed each quite a few times - always talking about or around Physics, We have been friends for the ensuing 68 years but never again as lovers. She is in Calif. (UCD) and I am in Mass. (private pharna). We don't see each other and our spouses are a bit jealous of our bond. |
