The police would not be questioning Kat without an adult present unless they were trying to get the case thrown out. Then, for Emily to come in and say "I fixed it" the same night, before a n ADA has even been consulted on the case... no. I understand that whole point of the scene with the cops was to get to the showdown between Kat and Em, but that scene took me so far out of the story I couldn't even appreciate what was going on in the aftermath. Looking forward to chapter 4. |
